Does anyone understand #2 and #4? I need help, fast! If you do, then please explain it to me.

Basically you need to explain the graph on the bottom of page 58. You see the change in population. Simply explain what is occurring and use the relevant terms.

4. How do Malthus' theories reflect the time he was from and the stage of transition he was going through? How would Malthus draw a demographic transition chart differently than ones you see on pages 66-67? -Think about the ways he saw the future.

Malthus lived at a time when England had reached stage two. Before that, the world was in stage 1 with a high death rate keeping the population in check. Think about it. Historically, every time the population tried to rise up, something came up that would smack it down. Malthus looked back at that history as he looked forward.
