Alright so i noticed mr lewis didnt post the Alaska one, so i scanned the one from the book page 64 for those who do not have it.

the little caption FIGURE 3-16 says:
...blah blah blah... and now the part that is key....... Unalaska has a high percentage of Males, because it contains an isolated military base.
