im still confused on number 2 and 3
can soeone explain them to me? like arent they basically the same question? except one is for germany while the other for the US? i don't understand how (or where from) we're supposed to use the 3 different vocabulary words...

You are supposed to use 3 vocabulary words from the GRA. It can be any word under "Migration and Population" (nothing else). And, yes they kinda are the same but their is a slight defference. Germany started their guest work program because they were tring to recover from World War 2. They needed to farm, make steel, produce cars and stuff but there weren't enough people so that's when they took in immigrants.
In the U.S. they just needed immigrants to help them with jobs and stuff. Nothing special, but you still have to use 3 words and they have to be DIFFERENT to the ones you used or are going to use in the Germany question.
There are links in the blog to help you out. Just read. It's kind of alot though, lol.
Well you see while both the U.S and Germany had guest worker programs they both worked a bit differently and in the end had different outcomes. Look at this site http://www.cis.org/articles/2001/back501.html it talks about Germany and the U.S. but in the past (so it does not have the current Bush program) but the examples are good. As for the vocabulary these are some of the words I used (to give u an idea): voluntary migration, pull factors , standard of living ...use words that describe the migrations, why they migrated, and the results the migration had on the country. I hope this helps.
