What exactly are we supposed to do for this assignment?
If you are assigned to Haiti, Guatemala, Nicaragua...etc....are you supposed to just answer numbers 1-3?

the list for Haiti, Guatemala, etc. is too long, so i'll post the "questions" for the OAS and Mexico:
OAS basic research will focus on the following areas:
a) history and structure
b) membership
c) examples of successes and failure in solving regional concerns
d) 3-4 regional problems of the past and the present
(i believe that the OAS uses their research on (a) and (b) to make the opening statement and the chart)
Mexico basic research will focus on the following areas:
a) current population
b) problems inherent in its geographical location; environmental problems; potential for disasters
c) extent of crime and political corruption
Haiti, Guatemala, etc. has many sub categories of research under three main categories:
1. Economic and social indicators
2. Political structure
3. Environmental problems
at the conference opening, each group has to present their info, understand problems with migration to mexico city, reach a solution, use a chart or "appropriate visuals" to summarize the nation's push and pull factors leading to immigration.
at the conference, each nation must develop a three-point plan to solve the immigration crisis in mexico city based on the opening statements, the OAS will also create a general criteria that a successful plan might include. Then each nation presents, OAS scores each nation, OAS selects plan and explains why, then discussion.
Phew! i hope that's enough your royal punkness, we all could really use your help! (BTW: this is the summarized version, it's pretty long!)

do we write a paper or just gather information?
The assignment was pushed back to Friday so you have two days. Find your information and write two paragraphs explining how you can help with the crisis mentioned on the 2nd page. The presenting of your information will be very informal so now wories there about that. I basically just want to have an in-class discussion on the matter. I would like it if you could incorporate the terms used in the migration chapter.
